This past weekend I watched my wedding video. There were so many wonderful memories of that special time in my life. There was one memory that was captured on video that is priceless; Jascha. His handsome face was smiling and happy as he toasted to our marriage, with a drink in hand of course.  I've known Jascha since elementary school. We grew up together, went to camp together, went to college together, celebrated milestones in our lives together. Our lives have always been connected in so many ways. We always remained close no matter where we were. That was what made Jascha so special to so many. He had this amazing ability to connect with everyone he met and made you feel that you were a special person in his life. I am forever grateful that Jascha was a special person in my life.

There are so many memories I have with Jascha. From Jascha, Brian and Marc lip syncing at the camp Talent Shows, AZA and BBG functions, the senior cruise, hanging out in Ann Arbor, South Park on Wednesdays after law school, to Lafayette Coney Island after my wedding. I could go on and on. The one memory that stands out as truly capturing Jascha's kindness and spirit was when I was shopping in Birmingham and he saw me walk into a store. I was in the back of the store when the bells chimed as the door opened. Seconds later I hear some one say, "Rowdie?", it was Jascha. He was driving down Woodard, saw me, pulled over and came into the store to say hello. For me that memory will forever be etched into my mind.

I miss him so much. I miss him coming to my house to watch T.V. and hang out, I miss the pleasant surprise of running into him at the most random of places, I miss seeing him, I miss hearing his voice, I miss him. I feel so grateful to have this precious gift of him on my video, 30 seconds of him smiling, talking, laughing and as always, wishing the best for everyone he came in contact with. He was and still is an amazing person. Jascha, I will never forget the 20 plus years we have shared. I love you and I miss you.
