I
haven't spoken to Jascha in a
long time, but he and friends Brian Feldman,
Marc Nakasher, Mike Flem and others played an important role in
shaping my early years
while attending Camp Maas. Those
times were special for
me particularly since I lived in Florida and spent my summers throughout
middle and high school in
Michigan with those guys. Reminiscent
of the movie,
"Stand By Me," during
those summers we discovered new things about ourselves
and others and had a great time along the way.
In
addition to being the really handsome guy everyone had a crush on at one
time or another, Jascha
was also charming, witty and honest.
When Jascha gave
you his opinion, he meant it. In
retrospect, I realize what a rare and refreshing
characteristic that was. It
is no wonder that friends from around
the world are feeling the loss-- he is missed.
