Hi Judy,
I met
Jascha in law school. We were in the same section so we had all of our
classes together. Within the 1st month of school, he and Jeff Pitt took
me to a cool restaurant in Eastern Market. He was so much fun right from
the start while I was stressed out and sure I wouldn't make it through
1st year. His nonchalant attitude and fun sense of humor lightened
things up for the rest of us. In the beginning, he surprised us with his
intelligent answers (He read these cases??!) because he seemed so laid
back. When Jascha walked into the room, fun walked into the room.
He nick-named me the "hot nerd" after I bought a pair of
cat-eye glasses. I loved how he teased us all. My husband, John, met
Jascha at Matt Roth's law school graduation party, and of course,
instantly liked him.
I heard
of Jascha's death through a phone call from a law school classmate,
Cheri Bruinsma. John and I attended the beautiful and touching service
and gathered w/ law school classmates afterward, including Kristi
Widgren, Adam Eichner and Amy Piner who are also close friends of
mine. I am so sorry for your (our) loss. Everyone loved Jascha. I
will have wonderful memories of him and feel fortunate that he touched
my life. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for inviting us to
celebrate his life.
