Comments after the weekend...
My
goodness! Did Judy and Sandy really know what they were doing to trust me
to baby-sit Jascha. and then Gabe too...even for a whole week?
I couldn't have been more than 15 myself! I'm so glad that Jascha touched
my life so many years ago, and now again through the words of his loving friends....Pam

Every
time
I eat a bagel at the office and there is hummus on the table, I think of Jascha.
Every time I see his father with dark glasses on in the office, I think of his
love for his son AND visa versa. Every time I see his law school diploma and his
hat for Lino's, in his old office, I can't believe he's gone. And he isn't. He
will always be alive as long as we remember him. Who could ever forget him???!!!
Fondly, Cary A. Storchan
It was beautiful. It was
magical. It was glorious. Thank YOU. Love, Judy
Dear
Judy: I know I can speak on behalf of all of our friends when I say thank you
for sharing that weekend with us. We all appreciated being able to get
together, and see each other at your home. It is certainly a testament to
Jascha, but also to you, Sandy, and Gabe as well. Keep on "keeping
on", Jason Hillman
Dear Judy, I'm so glad to hear that
Jascha's Memorial Weekend was successful. Even though I couldn't be there, I
said a prayer for Jascha. I watched the Michigan/Michigan State game on
satellite from my home in Arizona and smiled as I thought of everyone. It's nice
to know that the bond we have as former Grovites keeps us strong. In fact,
someone who graduated from our high school contacted me and is living not far
from me. We may actually get together over the Thanksgiving holiday. What a
small world! Please keep in touch and if you're ever in the Southwest, don't
hesitate to contact me. I would love to meet you in person. Love, Laura
Blumberg
Judy: I am so sorry for missing the
event. Know this, I think of Jascha frequently and laugh when I think of that
wonderful smile of his. It happens all the time, So believe me, I was there in
spirit as well. Jason Badian
You both are remarkable people.
Thank you for an amazing weekend. I can't wait to see you again
soon. With love, Jordan Atlas
To the Gelman family, I
would just like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for
organizing the reunion in Jascha's honor. I think we all needed to come
together to remember Jascha the way he wanted to be remembered, with laughter
and smiles. It meant so much to my friends and I to share this with you,
his family. Although I could only attend Friday night, it truly was an
amazing night. I loved the video compilation. I don't think there
was a dry eye in the house!!! Again, I wanted to thank you so much for
including me. I will never forget that weekend, like I will never forget
Jascha. He was truly a spectacular person. He will always be in my
heart. Sincerely, Amy Wechsler
